Matt Yustin has been hired as a member of the football player personnel and recruiting staff at the University of Florida. He made the announcement on his Twitter page.
Yustin joined the Tiger-Cats as a scouting assistant in February 2019 and was promoted to the role of U.S. regional scout in January 2020. He received another promotion in May 2021 when he was named the team’s manager of player personnel.
According to the team’s website, his duties included covering the west coast region of the NCAA, assisting with the team’s professional and college scouting endeavours, preparation for the CFL and Global Drafts, and overall day-to-day football operations.
The Toronto native previously served as a scouting intern with the Argonauts from 2016 to 2019, helping the team win a Grey Cup in 2017.
He also served as a quality control assistant and video assistant at Western from 2015 to 2018, helping the Mustangs win the Vanier Cup in 2017.
