The Toronto Argonauts have signed Canadian receiver Dejon Brissett who was selected second overall in the 2020 CFL Draft.

Combine the six-foot-one, 195-pounder’s speed and athleticism with his home address and Brissett was prime pickings for Toronto.

The native of Mississauga spent four seasons at the University of Richmond before his move to the University of Virginia after receiving a medical redshirt in 2018. The 24-year-old played 12 games and caught two passes for 18 yards with the Cavaliers.

At Richmond, Brissett caught 86 passes for 1,282 yards and nine touchdowns, while adding 941 kick return yards and one score in 33 career games for the Spiders. Brissett was named first-team All Colonial Athletic Association following the 2017 season after hauling in 63 passes for 896 yards and seven touchdowns.
