Reigning NFL Most Valuable Player quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been enjoying his time in La Belle Province.

Rodgers has spent significant time in Montreal with his fiancee, Shailene Woodley. The 29-year-old actress has been filming her upcoming movie, Misanthrope.

“I did some quarantine during the off-season, early parts. The Mrs. was filming up in Montreal. Quebec has some strict quarantine rules, so I was in quarantine for a few weeks,” Rodgers said on The Pat McAfee Show.

“And then went out to LA and filmed the two weeks of Jeopardy! — I had a blast. And then back for some more quarantine.”

Rodgers revealed he was engaged to Woodley during his MVP acceptance speech during the NFL Honours event in February. The Green Bay Packers’ franchise pivot credited being engaged for playing some of the best football of his career in 2020.

Last season, Rodgers set personal bests and team records with 48 touchdown passes and a completion percentage of 70.7. He posted his ninth career 4,000-yard passing season while leading the Packers to a 13-3 regular season record before falling in the NFC title game.

While in Quebec, the 37-year-old NFL star was studying for his guest host role on Jeopardy! He has “total respect” for the late Canadian Alex Trebek, who was the face of the game show for 37 years.

“For me, it was taking a lot of notes, and figuring out exactly what Alex did and wanting to do him justice, his memory justice by being as prepared as possible,” Rodgers said.

“His story from rags to riches: growing up in small town Quebec to being one of the most recognizable people in the world.”

It’s fitting Rodgers did his Jeopardy! preparation in the same province where Trebek grew up.
