Funeral service for Chris Schultz to be live streamed on Saturday, March 13

Longtime CFL on TSN analyst Chris Schultz passed away suddenly due to a heart attack at Joseph Brant Hospital on Thursday, March 4.

Schultz was 61 years old.

Schultz’s accomplishments in life were incomparable. He had a long career in professional football, playing with the Dallas Cowboys and the Toronto Argonauts. The awards and recognitions’ he received for his work on the field are too many to mention. Schultz was also a popular and accomplished sports analyst, both on radio and television, during his time with The Fan 590 and TSN.

More importantly, Schultz was a man of integrity, kindness, generosity, compassion, humour, curiosity, intelligence and so much more — a man with a big presence, a big personality and a big heart. He was known as “The Big Man”.

Visitation times have been scheduled at Smith’s Funeral Home in Burlington, Ontario located at 1167 Guelph Line: Wednesday March 10, Thursday March 11 and Friday March 12 from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. You can RSVP online or call the funeral home at 905-632-3333.

In accordance with provincial regulations, there is a limit to the number of visitors who may attend at one time. All visitors are asked to wear a face mask and are to remain in their cars until their allotted time.

There will be a private funeral service on Saturday, March 13, which will be live streamed on YouTube from Interment Greenwood Cemetery. For those who wish, donations in memory of Schultz can be made to Purolator Tackle Hunger, it would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
