Calgarian Ryan Sceviour keeps riding with Stampeders

The Calgary Stampeders have re-signed Canadian offensive lineman and local product Ryan Sceviour.

The Stamps selected Sceviour in the first round, eighth overall in the 2018 CFL Draft.

“Calgary has been my home for football since I was a kid and I’m excited to continue it through 2021,” Sceviour said in a statement.

Sceviour started all 18 games for Calgary in 2019, with 17 of those coming at right guard and one at left guard. He also started at right guard in the Western Semi-Final. The University of Calgary and Bowness High School alum played one game as a backup offensive lineman during his rookie season in 2018.

“Ryan stepped in and did an excellent job for us in 2019 and I look forward to seeing his continued development as of the pillars of our offensive line,” Stampeders president and general manager John Hufnagel said in a statement.

Before joining the Stamps, Sceviour played four seasons with the Dinos and was named a second-team all-Canadian in 2016 and 2017.
