Canadian offensive lineman Liam Dobson has committed to Texas State University.
He entered the NCAA transfer portal following the 2020 NCAA season.
That signalled his time at the University of Maine had come to an end. He was looking to play at a bigger program in 2021 to boost his NFL draft stock.
The Ottawa native had been dominant along Maine’s offensive line, starting at guard and tackle. He was the team’s highest-graded blocker in every game of the 2019 season and was named first-team All-Colonial Athletic Association.
Dobson switched from defensive line to offensive line as a senior in high school at Canada Prep Academy. He played in six games and started one as a true freshman, adding 14 more starts as a sophomore, and 12 as a junior for the Black Bears.
Dobson has elite strength and moves extremely well for his size. He is capable of dunking a basketball at six-foot-three and 344 pounds, which is a testament to his athleticism.
