Toronto Argonauts re-sign Canadian OL Dariusz Bladek, second-round NFL draft pick RB Bishop Sankey

The Toronto Argonauts have re-signed six players, including Canadian offensive lineman Dariusz Bladek and former second-round NFL draft pick Bishop Sankey.

Bladek was a second-round pick of the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2017. He appeared in 25 games over three seasons with the team, starting eight contests at guard in 2019. The Bethune-Cookman University product was born in New Jersey but became a Canadian citizen in 2016.

Sankey was a second-round pick pick the Tennessee Titans in the 2014 NFL Draft. He rushed 199 times for 762 yards and three touchdowns while adding 32 receptions for 272 yards and a touchdown in 12 games with the Titans.

The five-foot-ten, 200-pound ball carrier was recently a member of the San Diego Fleet of the AAF. He remains one of the most productive running backs in the history of the University of Washington.

The other four players re-signed by the team are Canadian linebacker Nelkas Kwemo, American defensive lineman Earl Okine, American receiver Brandon Sheperd and American defensive back Jordan Powell.
