The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have re-signed national running back Sean Thomas-Erlington.
The five-foot-nine, 217-pound native of Montreal, Quebec was starting to have a breakout campaign last season before suffering a season-ending knee injury on July 4 against Montreal.
In the first four games of the season, Thomas-Erlington registered 33 carries for 224 yards, 11 receptions for 193 yards and a touchdown. He was named a CFL Top Performer for Week 2 and a CFL Top Performer of the Month in June.
Thomas-Erlington was originally Hamilton’s eighth-round pick, 66th overall, in the 2017 CFL Draft.
The 28-year-old has played 32 regular season games with the Ticats over three seasons (2017-2019), making 68 carries for 443 yards and a touchdown. He has also recorded 18 receptions for 286 yards and one score along with four special teams tackles and 15 kickoff returns for 339 yards (22.6 average).
