The Canadian Cowboy has hit a snare.

Chuba Hubbard will not play against Texas Tech on Saturday according to Brett McMurphy of Stadium.com. He is continuing to nurse a lower body injury that has plagued him since Oklahoma State’s victory over Kansas State on November 7.
The native of Sherwood Park, Alta. has recorded 133 carries for 625 yards and five touchdowns this season, averaging 4.7 yards per carry. Last year he rushed for 2,094 yards and 21 scores and finished the year eighth in voting for the Heisman Trophy.
The Cowboys (5-2) started the year 4-0 before falling to Texas in overtime on Halloween. Last week the team suffered a blowout defeat against rival Oklahoma by a score of 41-13. Oklahoma State is now ranked No. 21 on the AP poll, down seven spots from a week ago.
Hubbard’s lack of production in 2020 has cause some to question his NFL draft stock. Our own John Hodge spoke to a number of CFL scouts and personnel experts regarding Hubbard’s future in a recent edition of Insider Talk.
