The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are scheduled to suit up in the CFL’s first 2021 regular season game — a 2019 Grey Cup rematch against the Blue Bombers in Winnipeg on Thursday, June 10 at 8:30 p.m.

Hamilton’s home opener is set for Thursday, June 24 at 7:30 p.m. against the Toronto Argonauts, and the Labour Day Classic – also versus Toronto – returns to a 1 p.m. time slot on Monday, September 6 at Tim Hortons Field.

“We are looking forward to the 2021 CFL season and we’re very excited about our schedule. In particular our home schedule for the best and most loyal fans and partners in the CFL,” chief executive officer Scott Mitchell said.

“Seven of our nine regular season home games are on a Friday or Saturday – two in the afternoon – and of course we have the Labour Day Classic, Canadian Football Hall of Fame Game. All of this capped by what will surely be a historic and incredibly memorable return of the Grey Cup in 2021 at Tim Hortons Field on November 21st.”

In 2021, every CFL team has an additional divisional match-up per team to build regional rivalries while reducing travel for players. As a result, the Tiger-Cats will also host the Ottawa Redblacks twice in 2021 in addition to the two Argos home games, but will not host the Saskatchewan Roughriders or visit the BC Lions.

All games will be broadcast in Canada on TSN. Montreal Alouette games and select CFL games will be also shown on RDS. CFL games are broadcast in the United States by ESPN.

The CFL is planning to return to play in 2021 with a full slate of games that kicks off June 10 and concludes with the 108th Grey Cup in Hamilton on November 21.
