Ottawa native Neville Gallimore had the best game of his career on Sunday for the Dallas Cowboys. The 2020 third-round pick recorded three total tackles, one tackle for loss, and one quarterback hit, but his impact went far beyond the stat sheet.

Bob Sturm tweeted out the following highlight montage of Gallimore on Wednesday morning, showing all of the plays he made against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The video garnered almost 13,000 views in the first two hours after it was posted.

The Oklahoma product only played six defensive snaps in the Cowboys’ season-opening loss to the Los Angeles Rams. He has steadily earned more playing time as the year has progressed, playing 91 snaps over the past three games and making two starts.

One of the reasons Gallimore has seen more playing time recently was the release of veteran defensive tackle Dontari Poe at the end of October. The nine-year veteran started Dallas’ first seven games but wasn’t producing like he had prior to joining the Cowboys as a free agent.

The sky is the limit for a player like Gallimore who has quickly ascended to the role of starter just midway through his rookie season with America’s Team.
