Montreal Alouettes quarterback Vernon Adam Jr. is back at it again.

The electric pivot already went viral with his rankings of the top CFL quarterbacks and defensive ends, but Wednesday he shifted his focus to the heart of the trenches and ranked the top defensive tackles in the three-down league.

The list had some surprising names at the bottom, but the expected stars reached the podium.

Adams Jr.’s Top 7 DTs in CFL:

7. Drake Nevis / David Menard – Both big bodies in the middle that can help stop the run.

6. Mak Henry – Just keeps getting better every year. Hustles to the ball.

5. Ted Laurent – Been doing it for a while & does his job.

4. Cleyon Laing – Super athletic and can get to the QB

3. Micah Johnson – He’s so good, most teams must double-team him

2. Almondo Sewell – Strong, big body. Always run QB sneaks away from #90. Literally hit me the hardest I’ve ever been hit. Very consistent.

1. Dylan Wynn – 11 sacks, 45 tackles at the DT position! He hustles, tough to block, makes the play & does it all over again. A beast.”

Adams Jr. is sure to get fans and opponents alike in a frenzy with his list, but intends to do the same with all position groups over the course of the cancelled 2020 season. Unfortunately, it won’t be until 2021 that these fearsome players can prove themselves on the field.
