TSN’s CFL 2020 show announced its all-time team for the Ottawa Redblacks, Renegades and Rough Riders on Friday.

The all-time roster project has already covered the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, the Calgary Stampeders, the Montreal Alouettes and the Saskatchewan Roughriders, with plans to continue through each of the remaining CFL franchises.

Rosters feature one head coach, 12 offensive players, 12 defensive players, three special teamers, and an indeterminant number of foundational players that made a mark on the franchise. Each roster must feature at least seven national players and one current player.

The Ottawa roster may boast the greatest combination of Canadian players in offensive skill positions of any all-time rosters. The group, quarterbacked by the greatest Canadian player of all time in Russ Jackson, features Ron Stewart as a back field weapon and three Canadian receivers including another of the three Canadians to win Most Outstanding Player, Tony Gabriel.

The current players to make the list are automatic kicker Lewis Ward and dependable receiver Brad Sinopoli. Sinopoli is joined on the team by former teammate Greg Ellingson, whose friendship affectionately earned them the nickname “The Buds.”

Not surprising given their dismal records, not a single Ottawa Renegade made the list.
