Canadian defensive end Brent Urban is re-sign with the Chicago Bears, his wife tweeted on Monday, which means the Mississauga native will be back for a seventh season in the NFL.

The 28-year-old signed with Chicago in October 2019 just two days following his release from the Tennessee Titans.
Urban’s career started with the Baltimore Ravens in 2014 after he was selected in the fourth round of the NFL draft. He appeared in 41 games with the team, making 19 starts and recording 52 tackles, seven tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks.
The six-foot-seven, 295-pounder was drafted by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the second round of 2013 CFL draft as a redshirt junior out of Virginia. It was a high-risk, high-reward selection that didn’t pay dividends for the Ticats due to Urban’s success south of the border.
Urban’s career earnings are currently just shy of $5 million USD.
