Dariusz Bladek’s time in Saskatchewan may have been limited but he definitely made an impact.
The new Argos offensive lineman shared a screenshot of a message he received from a fan on social media, a message that may mean more than any championship or personal accolade could ever mean.
The 25-year-old Bladek was selected in the second round of the 2017 CFL draft by the Roughrides and appeared in 45 regular season games over three years with the green and white.
The fan, named Taya, shared the story of their new son’s name — Darius.
Today was a special one. Never in my life did I think that playing the game I love would make such a impact on so many in a positive way. I'm very thankful and honored by this ????. pic.twitter.com/EGWz45j5Vd

Quite the honour for Bladek. Even though he has moved from the prairies to downtown Toronto his name will live on.
