Once again this year, CFL and NFL scouts will be making their way to Laval University to take a look at a couple of Canadian players.
The Rouge et Or will be hosting a pro day for offensive lineman Kétel Assé and defensive back Adam Auclair on March 10.
According to Laval, NFL scouts took interest in Assé last year during Mathieu Betts’ pro day when he was there to support his teammate. Assé has already been scouted by the San Fransisco 49ers and Chicago Bears and played in this year’s NFLPA Collegiate Bowl at the Rose Bowl.
He’s the sixth-ranked prospect in the 2020 CFL scouting bureau and has been named a first team USports All-Canadian in each of the past two seasons.
CFL scouts have Auclair ranked thirteenth coming off a second-team Quebec conference all-star performance where he played in eight games, picking up 41 tackles, half a sack and three interceptions.
Auclair took part in this year’s College Gridiron Showcase in Fort Worth, Texas.
This will be the fifth year in a row that a pro day has been hosted by Laval. Charles Vaillancourt, Antony Auclair, Christopher Amoah, Tyrone Pierre, Mathieu Betts and Samuel Thomassin have all previously worked out for pro scouts.
