The Carabins defender was the ninth-ranked prospect in the CFL’s December Scouting Bureau rankings and was one of two U Sports players to attend the East-West Shrine Game in January, a prestigious U.S. college All-Star game. That game has been the NFL launching point for Canadians like Laval’s Antony Auclair, Manitoba’s David Onyemata and McGill’s Super Bowl champion Laurent DuVernay-Tardif in recent years.
Dequoy led the Carabins with 37.5 tackles in 2019 and registered one tackle for loss, one pass breakup and three interceptions during eight regular season games. The six-foot-three, 195-pounder had a game-sealing 85-yard interception return for a touchdown in the Dunsmore Cup upset at Laval. He earned U Sports first-team All-Canadian status.
This is just the second-ever NFL Pro Day to be hosted by the Carabins, following a 2018 showcase for receiver Regis Cibasu and punter Felix Menard-Briere. Neither player signed NFL contracts.
The event will take place on March 9th at 9:00 AM ET in the Soccerplexe Catalogna. Fans are invited to attend and admission is free. The team did not yet specify how many NFL scouts are expected to attend.
