Everything has come full circle for defensive back Abdul Kanneh as he’s once again a member of the Ottawa Redblacks.
Kanneh signed a one year deal with the Redblacks on Tuesday after spending the last two seasons with the Argos and a season with the Ticats before that.
The London, England born defender was a member of the Redblacks from 2014 through 2016 where he appeared in 43 games peaking with a Grey Cup victory in 2016. Over that time, Kanneh amassed 138 tackles, two special teams tackles, three sacks 12 interceptions, and five forced fumbles.
During his one season in Hamilton, Kanneh played in just seven games picking up 17 tackles and two sacks and one forced fumble.
As many do, Kanneh then joined the Argos in 2018 where he was credited with 25 tackles, one sack and one interception in eight games. In 2019, Kanneh set a new career high with 70 tackles and added one sack, one forced fumble and one interception.
Kanneh was an undrafted free agent out of New Mexico Highlands University signed by the the Cleveland Browns in 2013.
