Former Redblacks QB Will Arndt signs with B.C. Lions

Former Ottawa Redblacks quarterback Will Arndt has signed with the B.C. Lions.

Arndt spent three seasons in the nation’s capital prior to be released by the Redblacks earlier in January.

The 26-year-old Arndt saw his first game action last season with the Redblacks under Ottawa turned B.C. head coach Rick Campbell. He completed 62 percent of his pass attempts for 940 yards with three touchdowns and six interceptions also carrying the ball 15 times for 45 yards. Arndt went 0-4 as the starter at QB to end a horrific 3-15 Redblacks season.

While at Western Connecticut State University. Arndt set records for passing which included: most passing yards in a career (7,940); total offensive yards (9,248); passing touchdowns (73) and total touchdowns (91).

Among others Arndt will compete for a backup spot behind Lions franchise quarterback Mike Reilly.
