Eskimos sign receiver Kenny Shaw

The Edmonton Eskimos have signed American receiver Kenny Shaw.

Shaw caught 77 passes for 1,004 yards and five touchdowns in 2016 when he rose to prominence in the CFL with the Toronto Argonauts.

The 28-year-old inked a two-year contract with the Ottawa Redblacks in February 2017, but after playing three games while recording six catches for 66 yards Shaw tore his ACL, ending his season.

Shaw joined the Riders in August 2018 and he played in three games making 11 receptions for 153 yards.

In 25 career CFL games, the Florida State alumnus has amassed 1,223 yards on 94 receptions with five touchdowns. Shaw is an intriguing reclamation project for Edmonton and he’s familiar with current Eskimos franchise quarterback Trevor Harris from time spent together in the nation’s capital.
