The Edmonton Eskimos have re-signed running back Shaquille Cooper through the 2020 season.
Cooper was set to become a free agent in February.
Cooper has played two seasons in the CFL, both for the Esks. He’s played seven games rushing 90 times for 496 yards (5.5 yards per carry) and two touchdowns while catching 21 balls for 156 yards and one major.
The 26-year-old played collegiately at Fort Hays State University in 2012 and 2015-2016 after redshirting the 2011 season. He appeared in 35 games recording 456 carries for 2,768 yards and 19 touchdowns while catching 73 passes for 736 yards and 10 majors.
