Ryan Rigmaiden offered Alouettes’ GM job: report

TSN’s Farhan Lalji is reporting that Ryan Rigmaiden has been offered the Montreal Alouettes’ general manager job.

Kavis Reed was fired from the position early during the 2019 regular season with Joe Mack filling in on an interim basis.

A field of candidates including Hamilton’s Sean Burke and Winnipeg’s Danny McManus were interviewed, but it appears Rigmaiden is going to emerge as the successful candidate.

Rigmaiden has spent the past two seasons as the Blue Bombers’ Director of College Scouting. Prior to that he spent six years with the B.C. Lions where he worked alongside Wally Buono. Buono was hired by the Alouettes as a consultant to help identify the club’s next general manager.

Khari Jones recently signed a three-year contract extension with Montreal to remain the club’s head coach through 2022.
