The Edmonton Eskimos are ensuring Trevor Harris is healthy for the playoffs.

Harris has been left off the Esks roster for their Week 21 matchup with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Harris went down in Week 13 after suffering an injured forearm against Calgary and was replaced by Logan Kilgore, who managed to a 2-2 record in relief. The 33-year-old returned to the lineup in Week 20 passing for 321 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions while completing 27-of-27 passes.

Harris was an CFL Most Outstanding Player favourite before his injury, having passed for 3,706 yards, 15 touchdowns and just four interception in his first 12 starts of the season.

Saskatchewan can clinch first in the West with a win versus Edmonton and with Harris out of the lineup, the odds increase in the Riders’ favour.
