Washington was in pain and carted off the field after quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. fell on him during Montreal’s 21-17 win in Week 17. The 33-year-old had become a stalwart on the Als’ offensive line since being acquired in the Johnny Manziel trade from Hamilton in July 2018. He has started 25 games over parts of two seasons in Montreal.
The six-foot-seven, 318-pounder has played nine years in the CFL, suiting up in 117 games. Washington has won two Grey Cups, 2012 with Toronto and 2015 in Edmonton. Montreal will have to try and replace Washington as left tackle.
