Bills promote Duke Williams to active roster, will play “a lot” on Sunday: report

A former CFL all-star is about to make his NFL regular season debut.

Receiver D’haquille “Duke” Williams has been promoted to the active roster with the Buffalo Bills. Williams was a standout in the preseason, grabbing the attention of quarterback Josh Allen. He was added to the practice roster following training camp.

The Bills are off to a 3-1 start and are scheduled to meet the 2-2 Tennessee Titans tomorrow at 1:00 PM ET. John Brown is the team’s leading receiver with 23 receptions for 315 yards and one touchdown this season.

Williams recorded 1,579 receiving yards with the Eskimos a year ago, which earned him a new NFL opportunity. At 6-foot-3 and 225 pounds, Williams has an NFL frame.
