For the first time since being traded to the Argos at the end of July, quarterback Zach Collaros was throwing passes in double blue.
Zach Collaros was under centre for some scout team (2nd team) drills, but this is not out of the ordinary for #Argos backup quarterbacks. They all usually share scout team reps during practice. Again, James Franklin is running Toronto's offence and will start #CFL https://t.co/f4hw66uRUI

The Argonauts traded a 2020 fourth-round pick to Saskatchewan for Collaros. The fourth-round pick can possibly become a second-round pick depending on playing time and contract extension clauses.
According to #Argos head coach Corey Chamblin, Zach Collaros is on the last week of his current stint on the six-game injured list. Collaros is permitted to practice, but he won't be on the gameday roster this week #CFL

Collaros was placed on the six-game injured list by Saskatchewan following a shoulder to the head from Ticats linebacker Simoni Lawrence in Week 1. He failed concussion protocol and has been sidelined ever since.
The veteran quarterback missed four games last season due to concussions. Collaros sat out three games due to a head injury in 2016 and missed time in 2014 after suffering a concussion while with Hamilton. The Ticats traded Collaros to Saskatchewan in January 2018 and the Riders re-signed him to an incentive-laden deal for the 2019 season.
Toronto is where the 30-year-old started his CFL career. The same place Collaros is working to try and continue his playing days.
