The day before a matchup against league leading rusher Andrew Harris and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Montreal quarterback Vernon Adams did not hesitate to say who he believed the best running back in the CFL was.

Adams asserted that the all-time leading Canadian in yards from scrimmage was indeed a future Hall of Famer, but felt that Stanback had more to offer.

While the support for a teammate is not unusual, it should serve as additional fuel to the fire for an already angry Andrew Harris as he returns to the field after a two-game PED suspension.

In his 10 games pre-suspension, Harris rushed 141 times for 908 yards and three touchdowns, adding 337 yards receiving and three more touchdowns through the air.

In his nine healthy starts, Stanback has rushed 120 times for 746 yards and five scores, while recording 249 yards through the air.

Saturday will prove to be a heavy weight tilt. May the best man win.
