The Edmonton Eskimos have placed quarterback Trevor Harris on the one game injured list.
Head coach Jason Maas and general manager Brock Sunderland have elected to allow Harris another week to heal while going with Logan Kilgore as the staring quarterback versus the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in Week 15.
Harris left the Eskimos Week 13 loss against Calgary with an injury to his right throwing arm. Edmonton’s signal caller completed 3-of-5 passes for nine yards and one touchdown to Tevaun Smith.
Harris leads the league in passing yards with 3,706 to go along with a sparkling 15-4 touchdown to interception ratio in his first season as an Eskimo. The 33-year-old signed a two-year contract worth $1.1 million with Edmonton during free agency.
Backup QB Logan Kilgore ran the offence for the rest of the game which Edmonton lost 33-17 in Week 13. Kilgore completed 21-of-28 passes for 242 yards while being intercepted once which was returned for a touchdown. He hasn’t started a game since 2016. That season he threw two touchdowns compared to 10 interceptions.
Edmonton has lost three straight games to sit 6-6 fourth place in the West Division.
