Canadian offensive lineman Evan Johnson has signed a contract extension with the Ottawa Redblacks through the 2020 season, according to Ottawa Sun reporter Tim Baines.

The 25-year-old was a first round pick, ninth overall in the 2017 CFL draft. He dressed all 18 games and started as a rookie. Throughout three seasons so far in the CFL, Johnson has played in 44 games and developed into a high calibre national starter along the offensive line for Ottawa.
Redblacks’ general manager Marcel Desjardins locks up a stout ratio piece.
