3Down power rankings: Lack of respect for the Ticats

There is a definite lack of respect for the Ticats in the 3DownNation power rankings.

Hamilton beat the previously undefeated Bombers at Tim Hortons Field – even after losing franchise quarterback Jeremiah Masoli in the first quarter to a season-ending ACL knee injury. But the rankers aren’t believing what happened, the Ticats miraculously dropped a spot while Edmonton dispatched the winless Argos and moved ahead three positions. Don’t @ us. Or do and tell the guys why we are out of line.

The power rankings are done by having 3Down contributors rank each team from No. 1 to No. 9. The team with the fewest “points” gets the top ranking with each subsequent club receiving rankings two through nine. The previous week’s rankings are listed in brackets.

  1. Winnipeg Blue Bombers (1)

Despite losing with a sloppy effort in Steeltown, the Bombers remain at the top.

2. Edmonton Eskimos (5)

Phillip Lolley’s aggressive defence has made the Esks believers among many around the league.

3. Hamilton Tiger-Cats (2)

It’s Dane Evans’ time to shine. The Ticats are going to go with Evans and don’t want him looking over his shoulder. For better or for worse.

4. Calgary Stampeders (3)

Rene Paredes FTW.

6. Montreal Alouettes (4)

A bye week caused everyone to forget about the Als’ three straight wins. Khari Jones laughs at us for doing so.

7. Ottawa Redblacks (7)

There is little faith in Rick Campbell’s late-game decision-making at the moment.

8. B.C. Lions (8)

Lots of questions on the Left coast and no answers, yet.

9. Toronto Argonauts (9)

No matter who is playing quarterback it’s extremely hard to see an Argos win in the near future.
