Argos bench QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson for Dakota Prukop

Toronto took McLeod Bethel-Thompson out of the game after a terrible first half.

Corey Chamblin elected to put Dakota Prukop in and pull Bethel-Thompson after the starter completed just 5-of-13 passes for 83 yards and one interception while fumbling once during the opening 30 minutes. The Argos were shutout on the scoreboard and managed just 119 total yards on offence in the first two quarters.

Since taking over for an injured James Franklin as the starter for Toronto the boatmen have gone 0-3 part of a nine-game personal losing streak. Bethel-Thompson has thrown for 1,184 yards with seven touchdowns and nine interceptions in six games.

Entering Week 7, Prukop had never attempted a pass in a CFL game. He’s in his third season with the Argos. The 25-year-old us a dual-threat pivot who was productive at the NCAA level with Montana State University and the University of Oregon.
