The Ottawa Redblacks have placed defensive backs Jonathan Rose and Antoine Pruneau on the six-game injured list.

Rose was hurt in the loss to Winnipeg in Week 5. He’s suited up in three games recording nine tackles and one interception for a touchdown. The 2018 CFL East Division all-star grabbed five interceptions during the regular season last year, tied for most in the league, while making 45 tackles and four forced fumbles.

Pruneau had a cast on his hand left hand and arm at practice during the week following an injury sustained against the Montreal Alouettes. He’s played in four games making 12 tackles, one special teams stop and forcing one fumble in 2019. The 29-year-old is an elite, ratio-breaking defender.

Ottawa will have to deal with two major pieces of the secondary being out long term.
