Winnipeg Blue Bombers star linebacker Adam Bighill was inactive against the Ottawa Redblacks in Week 6.
Bighill has now missed the last Bombers last three games: Reblacks, Argos and Redblacks.
The 30-year-old signed a three-year contract extension in January that paid him a signing bonus of $105,000 included in $230,000 of hard money in the first season. There is a massive $750,000-plus in hard money over the length of the agreement.
Last season Bighill made 105 tackles, forced four fumbles, recorded four sacks and snagged two interceptions, one returned for a touchdown, earning him the CFL Most Outstanding Defensive Player Award.
It’s clear Winnipeg wants to make sure Bighill is fully healthy before putting him back in the lineup.
