The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed former Edmonton Eskimos linebacker Korey Jones.
Jones was released by the Eskimos on June 24. Through 65 career CFL games, Jones has made 103 tackles, 44 special teams stops, two interceptions and forced one fumble.
The 30-year-old has been in the league since 2013 playing for the B.C. Lions, Saskatchewan Roughriders and lastly in Edmonton.
Winnipeg released 26-year-old linebacker Nick Temple, who saw limited action with the Bombers, to make room for Jones. The veteran linebacker has starting experience and brings strong special teams mentality. Jones will fit right in with the culture Mike O’Shea has created with the Bombers.
