Week 4 in the CFL seems like a chance for teams to separate themselves.

The Ticats can pounce to a 4-0 record for the first time since 1989. The Bombers and Redblacks meet in the nation’s capital for a Friday night fight of undefeated teams. B.C. and Toronto desperately need a win. While Calgary and Saskatchewan renew acquaintances in Regina.

If the Argos and Alouettes lose yet again both teams will be viewed as the worst two in the league and potentially the free space on the league’s bingo card. Hamilton, Winnipeg and Ottawa can remain among the elite with victories. The Stamps are always in the Grey Cup conversation, however, should the Riders roll at Mosaic Stadium all of a sudden the green and white are going to be viewed as being for real.

Let’s see who steps up.

Thursday, July 4
Hamilton at Montreal, 7:30 p.m. EST

Dunk: Jeremiah Masoli threw three picks and Hamilton still won by 31 last week. TICATS
Hodge: It’ll be awhile before Montreal wins a game. TICATS
Alfieri: I know it’s Luc Brodeur-Jourdain’s last game and it’s the home opener in Montreal, but….TICATS
Ballantine: The race to the bottom of the east continues for Montreal. TICATS
Filoso: New QB, same result. TICATS
Gasson: Again? TICATS
Smith: Not gonna overthink this one. TICATS

Friday, July 5
Winnipeg at Ottawa, 7:30 p.m. EST

Dunk: The Redblacks are better than most thought, but…BOMBERS
Hodge: Winnipeg responds from a sloppy outing against Edmonton. BOMBERS
Alfieri: This one will be tight. I’m going BOMBERS
Ballantine: Winnipeg is too deep. BOMBERS
Filoso: Home field advantage makes all the difference. REDBLACKS
Gasson: Winnipeg keeps on winning. BOMBERS
Smith: Both teams are good, I just think Winnipeg is a little better. BOMBERS

Saturday, July 6
B.C. at Toronto, 7 p.m. EST

Dunk: B.C. is 0-3 against three teams from the wild West. LIONS
Hodge: It’ll be awhile before Toronto wins a game. LIONS
Alfieri: I have no faith in Toronto winning this game. LIONS
Ballantine: Even an actual dumpster fire is looking at the Argos right now and telling them to clean up their act. LIONS
Filoso: B.C. finally gets in the win column. LIONS
Gasson: BC heading east is tough, Toronto is not. LIONS
Smith: The Argos are awful, and if B.C. loses to this team they should just forfeit the rest of their games. LIONS

Saturday, July 6
Calgary at Saskatchewan, 10 p.m. EST

Dunk: Cody Fajardo continues his rise to CFL stardom. RIDERS
Hodge: Arbuckle should play well, but the Stamps are too banged up across the board right now. RIDERS
Alfieri: The Stamps got a dramatic win against B.C. last week and I think they’ll keep it rolling. STAMPS
Ballantine: Nick Arbuckle went 9-for-9 and two touchdowns in under three minutes last week. STAMPS
Filoso: No Bo = no win. RIDERS
Gasson: Expecting a good one. RIDERS
Smith: As long as Eric Rogers is a big part of the game plan, Calgary should be fine no matter who is at QB. STAMPS
