The Riders are trying a lot of different things to create a new buzz at Mosaic Stadium.
There’s a DJ, each game has its own theme and apparently Gainer got a make over?
We've worked all off-season to be under the bright lights. Our favourite gopher is no exception.
Now, Gainer is more #CFLGameday ready than he's ever been before….

Did Gainer get some plastic surgery done? He's looking a little different pic.twitter.com/jOZ5wlwUtW

I’ll be honest, I didn’t notice that Gainer didn’t run out for his usual entrance at the start of the game but then he appeared during the first TV time out and the reaction on Twitter and in the stadium was interesting.

The new Gainer is creepy and looks like he's on drugs
— Rider Prophet (@RiderProphet) July 1, 2019
Does he look like a terrifying monster or a crackhead tiger who pretends to bite people's heads at team events? If not he's still better than Stripes and TC ????????

"Hey, I wish Gainer was thinner and had terrifying eyes." – – no one, ever.
Bring back old, fat Gainer, @sskroughriders. This new guy is awful.

About all you can say at this point is “this is fine.”
