Five more USports prospects have made it to the national CFL combine March 22-24 in Toronto.
Carleton offensive lineman Daniel Omara, St. Francis Xavier linebacker Gordon Whyte, Montreal defensive back Jean-Sébastien Bélisle, Montreal Kerfalla Emmanuel Exumé and Carleton defensive back Jacob Dearborn stood out at the Montreal regional.
Omara checked in at over six-foot-four and 324 pounds, recorded a 5.38 40-yard time, eight-foot and one-quarter-inch broad jump, 25.5-inch vertical and pumped 225 pounds 15 times.
Whyte was more than six-feet tall, 231 pounds, ran a 5.01 40-yard time, 4.56 shuttle, 7.84 three-cone, over nine-foot broad jump, 26.5-inch vertical and 11 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press. The Toronto native had a career-best 51 total tackles last season and two for loss.
Bélisle is five-foot-10, 185 pounds, ran a 4.79 40-yard time, 4.51 shuttle, 7.62 three-cone, eight-foot, 11-inch broad jump, 26-inch vertical and one rep of 225 pounds on the bench press.
Exumé stands five-foot-10, 191 pounds, ran a 4.78 40-yard time, 4.59 shuttle, 7.34 three-cone, nine-foot, five-inch broad jump, 29-inch vertical and 14 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press.
Dearborn measured six-foot-three, 201 pounds, ran a 4.74 40-yard dash, 4.41 shuttle, 7.62 three-cone, 11-foot, one-inch broad jump, 41-inch vertical and 12 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press. He made 12.5 total tackles during the 2018 USports season, two pass break-ups, one interception, one fumble recovery, half a sack and half a tackle for loss. That performance likely gets Dearborn drafted.
