Rush signs two-year contract extension with Bombers

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have locked up fullback and special teams contributor John Rush through the 2020 season.

Rush broke into the league with Winnipeg in 2017 as an undrafted free agent following a successful U Sports career at the linebacker position. The Guelph product has seven career special teams tackles in 30 career CFL games.

Rush is one of the CFL’s most community-oriented players. After trimming his long (and very beautiful) hair for ‘Cut For the Cure’ this past season, Rush is currently traveling with his dog visiting animal shelters across the country.
