Riders on the road for a month as Mosaic Stadium hosts an NHL game

The NHL will be hosting an outdoor game at Mosaic Stadium, home of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, next October.

The “2019 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic™” will feature the Winnipeg Jets and the Calgary Flames and be played on Oct. 26.

The Riders are on the road for three straight weeks after an Oct. 5 contest against the Bombers, likely to give the NHL ample time to set up shop.

Those three road games won’t be easy as they are all against West Division clubs: Calgary on Oct. 11, Edmonton on Oct. 18 and B.C. on Oct. 26.

The team returns home Nov. 2 against the Eskimos.

Jets fans with Bombers tickets might have a decision to make, however. The CFL team hosts the Stampeders on Oct. 25 – the night before the Jets are scheduled to play in Regina.

Could make for an epic double though…
