The Montreal Alouettes are planning to put in a bid for the 2020 Grey Cup according to Montreal Gazette reporter Herb Zurkowsky.
A contingent, led by #AlsMTL president Patrick Boivin will be in Toronto this Tuesday, making its bid and submitting a proposal that would see Olympic Stadium host the Grey Cup in 2020. Regina and Hamilton are also interested. Montreal hasn't hosted the game since 2008.

Montreal last hosted the CFL title game in 2008 when the Calgary Stampeders beat the Als on their home turf 22-14 int he 96th edition of the Grey Cup. More than 66,000 packed Olympic Stadium to watch the Stamps victory.
The Alouettes have been out of the playoffs for a franchise-record four straight seasons, but maybe, just maybe, by the time 2020 comes around – if the team is awarded the right to host – Montreal might be in a position to legitimately compete for a spot in the game.
