The Montreal Alouettes have extended the contract of quarterback Antonio Pipkin for two seasons through the 2020 campaign.
Pipkin started for games for Montreal in 2018 winning two and losing two while throwing for 857 yards, one touchdown against eight interceptions completing 58 per cent of his passes and rushing 36 times for 211 yards and six touchdowns.
The 23-year-old spent the 2017 season in Montreal coming back for training camp in 2018, but he was released from his rookie contract in June. The Alouettes brought Pipkin back on a one-year deal for the remainder of the season in July.
Pipkin has two more wins than celebrity quarterback Johnny Manziel who is 0-6 as the starting QB in Montreal leading to speculation as to whether or not the Als would be better with the Tiffin University product as the No. 1 quarterback.
