Alouettes deal Canadian defender Chris Ackie to Redblacks

The Montreal Alouettes have traded Canadian linebacker/defensive back Chris Ackie to the Ottawa Redblacks.

Ackie has played in 52 career CFL games making 109 tackles, forcing four fumbles, two sacks, two interceptions while scoring one touchdown after the Alouettes chose the 26-year-old in the first round of the 2015 CFL draft.

Redblacks defensive coordinator Noel Thorpe is familiar with Ackie having spent parts of three seasons together in Montreal.
