DeVier Posey agrees to terms with Lions

The B.C. Lions and receiver DeVier Posey have agreed to terms on a contract for the 2018 season.

Posey was released by the Baltimore Ravens among final training camp cuts. The 28-year-old had five receptions for 56 yards and one touchdown in four pre-season games with Baltimore.

He had a workout with the Buffalo Bills on Tuesday, but did not get offered a contract.

Posey had seven catches for 175 yards and one touchdown – including a Grey Cup record 100-yard TD reception – in Toronto’s 27-24 CFL title game victory. He recorded 52 catches for 744 yards and seven majors in 2017, which led to signing a contract with Baltimore.

He was originally drafted by the Texans in the third round, 68th overall in the 2012 NFL draft. The Ohio State product made 22 catches for 272 yards over three seasons in Houston.
