Former CFL all-star Brandon Zylstra athletic TD grab in Minnesota Vikings pre-season finale

Brandon Zylstra had a strong pre-season finale for the Minnesota Vikings capped by an athletic touchdown grab.

Zylstra led the Vikings with four catches for 54 yards including that 24-yard TD.

He led the CFL with 1,687 receiving yards on 100 receptions adding five touchdowns in 2017 and named a 2017 all-star. That season earned attention from a number of NFL franchises and led to the 25-year-old signing with Minnesota in January.

Zylstra played collegiately at Concordia College in Minnesota totalling 1,932 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns in 29 games adding 25 rushes for 394 yards and five touchdowns along with 39 kick returns for 885 yards with the Cobbers.

When he entered the NFL draft in 2016, Zylstra attended the North Dakota State pro day recording a 4.64 4o-yard dash, 34-inch vertical, 10-foot broad jump and pressed 225 pounds 16 times on the bench. He went undrafted in the NFL and signed with the Eskimos on May 30, 2016.

Many pundits feel Zylstra has a good chance of making the Vikings roster out of training camp. Prior to 4:00 p.m. ET on September 1, NFL teams must reduce rosters to the final 53-man version.
