The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have agreed to terms with Canadian linebacker Frederic Plesius, per sources.
The 30-year-old registered seven special teams tackles in seven games before missing the final 11 contests of the season due to injury in 2017. He finished second in the CFL with 23 special teams tackles in 2016 as a member of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
Plesius was selected in the second round, 10th overall in the 2012 CFL draft and played 66 games with the Ticats over four seasons registering 58 special teams tackles, 25 defensive tackles, one sack and one interception. He was released in January by the Montreal Alouettes to avoid paying his roster bonus and has since been a free agent.
