Eskimos running back C.J. Gable took not one but two head shots that knocked him from the game against the Argos.
As Edmonton was running out the clock on a 16-15 victory, Toronto defensive linemen Troy Davis and Dylan Wynn both made first contact with Gable using their helmets.

Gable appeared to be unconscious when he hit the turf initially, Wynn was handed a spearing penalty on the play. He finished with 51 rushing yards on 10 carries and it’s plausible Davis and Wynn could see further discipline from commissioner Randy Ambrosie because of the helmet-to-helmet contact. After being down for a few minutes, Gable got up on his feet and walked off the field.
“I’m just thankful CJ’s OK,” said Eskimos head coach Jason Maas. “Once I saw his eyes open and he could kind of move around a little bit, it was a good feeling to see that.”
