Alouettes sign former Lions OL Kirby Fabien

The Montreal Alouettes have signed Canadian offensive lineman Kirby Fabien.

Fabien spent five seasons with the B.C. Lions after the team selected in with the seventh overall pick in the 2012 CFL Draft. The 27-year-old played in 77 games for the Leos.

He was a pending free agent and new Lions general manager elected not to retain Fabien which left him on the market until the Alouettes – in a long rumoured move – inked him to a deal.

Fabien brings starting experience and makes Montreal younger up front, plus he provides valuable depth.
