Blast from the past: two-time Grey Cup champion LB Ejiro Kuale attends Riders free agent camp

American linebacker Ejiro Kuale last played a down in the CFL in 2013, but the linebacker is still chasing the pro football dream.

The 34-year-old was at the Riders free agent workout in Florida on Saturday. According to Saskatchewan play-by-play man Rod Pedersen, Kuale was injured early and forced to the sidelines.

Kuale played three seasons in Toronto, winning a Grey Cup with the Argos in 2012. He played 48 games for the Argonauts making 92 defensive tackles and 18 special teams tackles.

The Louisiana State product signed with the Riders during the 2013 season in which the green and white won the CFL championship on home turf. In nine games that year, Kuale made eight tackles during his seven starts.
