University of Calgary to hold pro day Thursday

The University of Calgary will host a pro day on Thursday.

One NFL team is set to be in attendance: the Washington Redskins.

Two Dinos offensive linemen are going to work out on campus: Ryan Sceviour and Darius Ciraco. Sceviour was an All-Canadian selection last season while continuing to bring his physical brand of play to the field. Ciraco is versatile having started games at centre, guard and tackle during his university career.

Both prospects were invited to the CFL combine in Winnipeg from March 23-25. The pro day is an opportunity for Sceviour and Ciraco to better their testing numbers. Sceviour put up 22 reps on the bench press, ran a 5.61 40-yard dash, 4.75 short shuttle, 8.24 three-cone, 23.5-inch vertical leap, seven foot and eight-and-a-half inch broad jump. Ciraco 18 reps of 225 pounds, 5.59 40-yard time, 4.87 short shuttle, 8.54 three-cone, 25.5-inch vertical, eight foot and three-and-a-half inch broad.

The last pro day Calgary hosted was in 2016 when receiver Rashaun Simonise drew six NFL teams to McMahon Stadium.
