Johnny Manziel drew a crowd in San Diego on Thursday and it wasn’t for any late night shenanigans.
The 2012 Heisman Trophy winner worked out for NFL franchises according to ESPN insider Adam Schefter.

Kind of a cool thing that Johnny Manziel agreed to throw at San Diego Pro Day. He’d been training with 2 of their late-round prospects and they asked him to be QB for their workouts for scouts. Manziel agreed yesterday to do them a favor. Benefitted all sides, as he looked sharp.

Manziel plans to play in The Spring League which goes from March 28 to April 15.
Manziel’s CFL rights are owned by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats who have had him on their neg list since his college days.
He was selected in the first round, No. 22 overall, in the 2014 NFL draft by the Cleveland Browns. But Manziel has been out of football since March 2016 when he was released by the Browns after posting a 2-6 record as their starter.
The fact that 13 NFL organizations watched Manziel live shows he has legitimate interest, but whether or not something tangible – a contract offer – comes remains to be seen and is the key to #ComebackSZN happening in the NFL.
Scouts from 13 NFL teams confirmed by the school were on hand to watch Johnny Manziel throw at the University of San Diego's pro day: Bears, Browns, Chargers, Giants, Chiefs, Jets, Patriots, Raiders, Titans, Lions, Jaguars, Panthers and Bucs. https://t.co/Le43snoSdf
